hey june.
i just cleared 2 big bags of my ex-notes from my cluttered space (what space) in the study, but it seems the same to me. the chair still can't be pushed into the space (again, what space) under the desk, and you still must stand a distance to realise that the thing holding the mess up is a table. before you call me a liar--i DID spend an afternoon clearing them OKAY--let me try to offer an explanation for this phenomenon. see, my conclusion is that those bags were under the chair and in front of it before, so even after i cleared them, there's not much of a difference. maybe the chair could be pushed in a little more (perhaps a cm) but that's about it. as i was finding more space to stash my rubbish i wondered just how much more the bookshelf above my desk could hold before it came crashing down. then i gave it some serious thought and finally came to a grave conclusion: it's time to pack up and move.
what wishful thinking.
i hate clearing stuff. somehow i couldn't bear to throw away most of my notes. there was this recurring thought of the huge amount of school fees we're paying, and to flippantly throw the sources of KNOWLEDGE away...would be such a waste! at least put somewhere where i can feel abit intellectual mah. (knowing that some important source of information is just nearby might prove to be intellectually-reassuring. i'm still investigating.)
been yakking too much these days, it's giving me a bad throat. scratchy, but i can still speak. i think. haha.
have been meeting alot of new people as well. i've always liked meeting new people, trying new things etc. but meeting people who want to know your qualifications and achievements and all that before deciding if you're good enough to be part of something is daunting. like job interviews but i'm not talking about that. okay, i was talking about worship team in church but the guy wanted to know the past stuff i've done on the piano before anything, which is slightly daunting. partly cos my 'golden years', if i can put it that way (hahaha), was what, 7 or 8 years ago? now not very gold, maybe brown. haha. ok shut up ros. we'll see how it goes!
gayle has a new kitten keisha. i'm not much of a cat person but it's alright. maybe it's psychological, but whenever i'm near her (the cat, not gayle) i feel my nose twitching. then i feel the sneezes coming. then, "uh oh gayle. i think i might be allergic to your cat." maybe i'll invest in a pair of stoppers for my nose next time i'm there. if i forget, there's still the clothes peg. EHHH my mum used to say that if i kiap my nose bridge with a clothes peg religiously (like, everyday for a length of time) i'll get a sharp nose. i wonder if it's in the same category as the saying that if you point at the moon you'll get a cut on your ear. haha. you can try and tell me if it works. the peg la. moon everyone point already also nothing happen. they even walk all over the moon already. cheh.
i have a saying of my own too:
if you watch too much tv or use the computer too much or both, you will get goldfish eyes the next day.
REALLY.
